Wild Grown Lishan High Mountain 2021 WinterFloating Leaves US
We got this tea from an indigenous Taiwanese tea farmer who harvests from tea bushes that have gone wild on his land. The bushes are untended and left to grow and adapt to nature. This is a very clean tea with a big energy.
A powerful high mountain oolong with a gorgeous fruity aroma and muscly broth. Notes hover around citrus - pomelo and orange flower - with a rich, sweet floral tone that rests more laid back in the flavor scheme. Slight honey sweetness. Broth is bold, it would err on the side of heavy handed rather than meek.
Very long lasting aftertaste that lingers evaporating off the mouth and throat, brings a fat returning sweetness. Great salivation. Comfortable and clean body buzz with a lively energy.
Big aroma, sweet, and clean tea grown wild at high elevation. Not entirely classic high mountain taste, but if you want to try something new, enjoy big flavors, and look for organically grown tea, this is for you. We are very grateful that we were able to get some.
