2021 Autumn Shan Lin Xi High Mountain OolongFloating Leaves US
Autumn harvest Shan Lin Xi high mountain oolong. We don't often offer Autumn harvest teas, but the farmer was so proud of this one when he harvested it that he quickly expressed us a sample. Traditionally, Winter and Spring are the prized crops, while Summer and Autumn tea are seen as not as complex. But because of the story around the harvests, you can sometimes land a great deal on really satisfactory tea for much lower price. This is one of those teas! It doesn't carry the full complexity of Winter harvest oolong, but it's delightfully fragrant with a happy high mountain feel!
Bold fruity high mountain oolong taste, with an unmistakable pineapple note leading the charge. Backup singers come in as sweet floral notes. Broth is juicy with a tinge of the buttery mouthfeel that high elevation teas are famous for. Aftertaste lingers with a mild sweetness, and offers some refreshing salivation.
This is a big, bold flavorful tea!
